Ganked from [livejournal.com profile] sarkastic:

Empire Magazine's top 50 shows of all time: Bold if you've seen every episode, italicize if you've seen at least one. I'm also going to * the ones that I really, really want to see.

I actually watch more television than I realized. )

So um, I disagree with this list like a lot. More than a lot. I think it's biased towards more cult-ish shows (and Joss Whedon), which I think would cause a lot of people to disagree with the ordering.

(Angel is one of the best shows of all time? Really? REALLY?)

Shows I think should be included: Rome, Weeds, Due South, Grey's Anatomy and random others before a lot (A LOT) of those. OZ! Oz should totally be on there. 30 Rock as well. Dead Like Me. Law and Order. Coupling even. OMG HOUSE!

And this isn't even based solely on personal preference. You'll notice no mention of Torchwood because I think Torchwood is a good show, my favourite show right now, but you don't watch it in amazement at it's quality. And I think the ways that I think it's a good show is not necessarily the reasons that other people think it's a good show. Also, I think it needs a bit more polish, and, how should I say this, better acting before it's up there for me.

So yeah Empire, sorry you fail in my book. But points for Red Dwarf. That was a neat show.
