My boyfriend got the Wii the day it came out and have played my three games on it since, but then, he's more of a hardcore gamer type person who goes on and on about next gen technology in the PS3 and the 360, and I'm more like, "Why are there so many buttons??" So while I don't play the Wii very often, I do think it's a cool gaming system to have.
With that said, I was very blah about Wii fit when I first heard about it because it seemed a little expensive for what it was, but then I saw a demo of it online and I wanted one right away. I think it's a really fun alternative to going to the gym and you do get a good workout out of it even if I'd prefer it to be a more fitness focused. Plus, I'm really hoping they come out with Wii Yoga or something smilar! :)
If you do decide to get Wii Fit/the Wii (at least within the next couple days), I would definitely call ahead to see if it's in stock because apparently it's selling like crazy and people are putting Wii fit up online for twice the price. Apparently Nintendo has stocking issues so even the console is still hard to find sometimes.
