I accidentally got kidnapped by the Thanksgiving gods which, while involving lots of TV/movie watching and sleeping past noon and general prancing about my parents house singing Glee cover songs, has resulted in very moderate amounts of over-eating. I pretty much fail at evolution. In the hunter-gatherer days, I would have starved pretty quickly as I would only remember to hunt/gather when I got really hungry and then I'd get distracted halfway by all the pretty cave paintings. Meanwhile, my mother got all excited about having a "Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner" even though both my parents are like ultra Asian and do not in general eat much American food on their own. They have succumbed to the white master! What would Poke say???
I did however watch Transformers for the first time solely because of
dark_reaction's OMG SO GREAT cracktastic Brad/Nate Transformers recast idea and then was very very disappointed at the lack of well-developed nerd-hot!girl romance and at the main dude's annoying-ness. HI NATE WOULD ROCK OUT THE DORKNESS WITH CHARM AND SEXINESS AND NOT DOUCHINESS kthxbai.
I was also dragged to 2012 (even though The Men Who Stare at Goats was playing at the same theatre, thanks parents) and fell asleep about maybe half an hour in. And then I looked up the playing time, saw that it was like 3 hours long and had very sad thoughts about how I was awake and not feeling sleepy so I didn't even have unconsciousness to make the time pass faster. On the plus side, I would totally ride the 2012 rollercoaster ride, and the last 10 minutes or so, desipite being over-done, poorly thought through, gratuitous, etc., was not mind-numbingly boring. (And ok, it was pretty satisfying that both my parents hated it too. Next time I will have Goats!)
Lastly, I keep seeing promo ads for Brothers, and Toby Maguire's face in profile keeps randomly reminding me of GK era Real Brad Colbert, especially a la Wright's pictures. I think it's the mouth? Anyway, it keeps drawing me in even though it's exactly the kind of drama-drama that I really don't like. Dear Brad Colbert, stop being so awesome! It's very distracting! ♥

Haaaaaaa! Character development is not something I expect in Michael Bay movies. It's all about the color filters, baby!! (2012 and Men Who Stare at Goats are still on my to-see list.)
