So last week I got a new haircut that puts my hair at basically shoulder length even though after the last time I went shoulder length, I swore that I wouldn't go above boob level ever again. I lied. And literally while I was watching my hairguy remove inches (inches!), I had a very not-mini panic attack and thinking "bad idea, Chel, bad idea".

But now I kind of dig it for some reason. It's fun to shake around. Even though I have official bangs (a fringe, whatever) for the first time since possibly grade school, and no matter how much you tell me it's back, I totally still say it went out with the early nineties. (I disguise this with my still very cool side part.)

So: shorter summer hair cut: the cool sexy funky way to go or guys don't make passes at girls who wear glasses and who can't snottily toss their hair over their shoulders?

Also: change your haircut =/= change your life no matter what television tells us or when I dramatically pause in front of the mirror and then take a pair of scissors/a knife to my long flowing locks, I am a new person?

In other tv crush news: Christian's hand's heterosexual freakout of OMG MAN PENIS 12 O'CLOCK and skipping to Oliver's shirt two episodes back was really cute, but that could be because I draw pink hearts around Thore Schoelermann's dimples. Also, Jonas 'that Robin Hood dude' (don't know his real name) has a really pretty stubble. Um, and finally, dear AWZ, please please please stop making Roman a creepy villain guy just because Deniz is apparently straight now NO REALLY NO I SWEAR. Like seriously spoilers, WTF? I can't believe I'm saying this but *ahem* Igor is not that pretty. Roman, you have a medal: go flash it at someone shiny!

Ah, but come June, Deniz sees the error of his ways (or something like that.) So we have hope!

Wait what do you mean? Because the furtherest I have heard is that Deniz is doing coke and Roman is 'taking advantage' of Deniz's state to get a snog. All I've read so far of their storyline is basically Deniz becomes an arrogant playboy type person and Roman uses to get it on with Deniz.

Pretty much that (sorry if I got your hopes up!) But I don't think that's bad, if it ends up getting them back together (Then again, I haven't been burned by a soap, so maybe I'm overly optimistic.)

Still, though, the spin-the-bottle thing? That's a little contrived, even for a soap.

See, spin-the-bottle actually gave me more hope because in the spoiler pic, Deniz is so clearly smiling a little smile of gay ~~lust~~ at getting a free kiss with Roman that he doesn't have to angst over.

Sadly, I don't watch soaps except I think Ii got involved in one awhile ago, and I just remember that they had one couple who was clearly suppose to be all OTP but the guy's pregnant ex kept going "OMG HE'S MINE BITCH". So now I'm always afraid that Roman is suppose to be some kind of villain character even though I really have no idea how soap opera dynamics actually work. :(

I have a shorter summer haircut too! But it is in no-way stylin'. I may have cried when my mother cut off as much as she did. I did not specify THISSHORT. And then I felt like an ass because I (a) made my mother feel bad and (b) felt stupid for crying about HAIR! that grows BACK!

I don't mind it so much now, but I mainly hike it back in a ponytail or ClawIt. *hides til it grows 2 inches omg*

OMG for the longest time, I only let my mother cut my hair because my hairstylist cut off WAY too much once, and it was completely horrible and I felt bad about saying anything. At least with my mum, I don't feel ~~too~~ bad about telling her I want it differently. Recently, I got it cut by a guy in Chicago and I kind of just nodded along to what he was saying and it's like woah, bangs! But now I like it!

I kinda want bangs again. I haven't had them since the early nineties and I think if I got the right cut that they could look cute.

I want a 50's pin-up girl cut. kind of shoulder-length rounded cut with long rounded bangs. then I could dye it bright red and wear funky clothes. \o/

And I kept thinking, "Ok, don't cry don't cry don't cry." (I maybe have cried over a haircut before.)

Although, ok, I love how bouncy shorter hair is. Have you noticed this as well? Like, I just like jumping around shaking my hair because it's suddenly like very shakeable. :)

Ok, I have this random theory where girls with long hair tend to look elegantly pretty and girls with shorter hair tend look more funky cool. And I'm always like, I want to be funky cool! But I'm not sure if I can pull it off.

Dude, I totally forgot about John's funky hair even though it is one of my interests (and I only have ten so it's a short list)! I &hearts John's hair so much! Oh Joe...The good ol' SGA days...

Well, given that I am a girl who recently cut about 4 inches off her hair (so it now only reaches to the small of my back) I'm not sure if I live up to the elegantly pretty thing either. But at least we both have ideals to try to live up to.

Definitely. Because it's fun and sassy and it stands out amongst all of the boring long haired girls. I say this with authority, which is only partly due to the fact that I've been keeping the back of my hair at nape level.

Also? Side part is love.
